After discovering the wonder of solar power as a youth, Andrew Cunningham developed a lifelong interest in clean energy and sustainable living. He graduated from Columbia University with a M.A. in Environmental Policy and later served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Honduras, working with youth and helping rural communities plant trees. In 1994 he launched The Grove Company (DBA Groveco) in New York City, selling “environmental products” via AOL dial-up internet service and online bulletin boards. Products ranged from recycled 3.5” floppy disks to crystal deodorant. Since then he has worked in the tech industry and been an advocate for energy efficiency and sustainable lifestyles. He is currently Director of Sales and Business Development at Southern Vermont Solar.
